European ‘Euroleaf’ logo indicates compliance with EU regulations governing organic farming and that the product in question contains the following:

• Either 100% organically farmed ingredients
• Or at least 95% organic products if the remaining part is not available in organic form, is unavoidable or is expressly permitted.

The text under the logo states the following:

• The number of the certifying body (FR-BIO-01 for Ecocert, FR-BIO-10 for Qualité France, etc.),
• The origin of the crop (EU/non-EU agriculture). Our aloe vera comes from Mexico and is therefore marked ‘non-EU’.

• minimum 95%  natural or naturally-derived ingredients
• minimum 95% of plant -based ingredients organically farmed
• minimum 10% of the finished product organically farmed.

• The aloe used is organically farmed.
• The aloe used comes directly from the pulp of the plant rather than a powder, as is most often the case.

We believe that adding powder to water does not allow the gel of the original plant to reconstitute properly.

We offset 100% of the carbon footprint generated by the transportation of our aloe vera and our packaging by planting trees in deforested areas (such as Ivory Coast and Sumatra).

We produce 30% of the electricity we need through our 497m² of solar panels and the remaining 70% is supplied by green electricity supplier Enercoop.

The application of the principles of fair trade is verified on the ground on a regular basis by certifying body Bioagricoop and includes the following: 

• opportunity for producers who are penalised by conventional trading system 
• transparency of business relations
• independence for small-scale producers through continuity of trade relations
• promotion of fair trade by raising awareness among customers of the injustices involved
• payment of a fair price determined based on dialogue (we also pay a bonus that is not required in this context)
• gender equality: valuing women’s work and women’s presence in governing roles
• working conditions: a healthy and safe environment
• child labour: compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
